Knitting & Crochet

My Amah (grandma) taught me how to knit and crochet when I was little, but I really picked it up when I was in college. Maybe I have undiagnosed Adhd; maybe I just like to create things. I feel less guilty when I’m sitting in front of the TV for hours (usually healing from something), and I can say at the end of a binge session, “Look what I made!”

The projects I finish the fastest are usually when I’m making them for others. I love making amigurumi (crocheted animals), hats, and blankets for babies/kids. My choice between the two mediums is knitting because I can knit feverishly without looking, and I don’t love a project where I have to count a lot. I prefer working with the expensive, natural stuff because it feels amazing on my skin (and I’m a bougie b). I don’t have an Etsy store because I can’t make the same things over repeatedly. It would take the joy away from me.

When I knit, it’s like all my anxiety frogs away.
